Shotz Interactive app and online booking
Effective October 4, 2026
This policy explains what information Shotz Interactive Laser Range LLC, doing business as Shotz Interactive ("Shotz," "we," "us"), collects when you use the Shotz Interactive phone app or book on our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Shotz Interactive is an indoor entertainment venue at 4501 S. General Bruce Dr, Ste 96, Temple, Texas.
The short version
-
We collect what we need to book your visit, keep your waiver on file, take your payment and track your rewards.
-
Your card number goes straight to Square, our payment processor. We never see it or store it.
-
We do not sell your information. We do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
-
You can delete your account inside the app, on our website, or by emailing us.
What we collect
When you book (with or without an account)
-
Your name, and your email address or mobile number (at least one of the two).
-
Your booking: activities, date, time, session length, number of players, and any game you picked.
-
Names of the other players in your group. For an adult player you may add an email or mobile so we can send them their own waiver link. For a player under 18, you tell us they are a minor and give the name of the parent or guardian signing for them, plus an email or mobile if the waiver link should go to that parent.
-
Your waiver: the name you type as your signature, the date and time you signed, and the version of the waiver.
-
Your answer to whether we may use photos or videos of you for marketing.
-
Whether you want marketing emails (off unless you tick the box).
-
Any promo code you enter.
When you create an account
-
Your first and last name, email address, optional mobile number, and a password. We store only a scrambled version of your password, never the password itself.
-
A 6 digit code or a link we email you to confirm your address.
-
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, your email address and a Google account ID. We never receive your Google password or anything else from your Google account.
-
While you are signed in, the app keeps a random sign in key in your phone's secure storage. Our server stores only a scrambled version of it, and whether the phone is Android or iPhone.
From your visits
-
Your progress toward a free session, any store credit, and any membership.
-
Whether our staff have verified you for the military and first responder discount. This is checked in person; we do not keep a copy of your ID.
-
Check in times and booking status, such as completed or cancelled.
Payments
-
Card details are entered on Square's secure form and go directly to Square. We receive a payment reference and the amount, never your card number.
-
For payments at our front counter, Square tells us the card brand and last four digits so staff can match the payment to the right booking.
Notifications
-
If you allow notifications, the app sends our server a notification token (an address for delivering notifications to this phone), whether the phone is Android or iPhone, and whether you turned on Deals and news. When the phone has a booking, we link the token to your customer record so we can tell you when your free session is ready.
-
Booking reminders are scheduled on your phone itself and do not go through our server.
Technical information
-
When you sign a waiver from an emailed link, or ask for a sign in, confirmation or password reset email, we record the IP address and the type of browser or device the request came from. This helps us look into misuse of an account.
-
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Stored only on your phone
-
The app remembers your name, email and mobile so it can fill in the booking form, along with your notification settings and scheduled reminders. Removing the app removes them.
What we do not collect
-
Your location. The Directions button opens your maps app; our app never reads where you are.
-
Your contacts, photos, files, calendar, microphone or camera.
-
Health information. The waiver asks you to confirm you are fit to play, but we do not ask for or store medical details.
How we use it
-
To make, confirm, change and cancel your bookings, and to show staff who is coming.
-
To keep your signed waivers on file.
-
To take payments and issue refunds or store credit.
-
To send booking emails: confirmations, reminders, waiver links, receipts and a short follow up after your visit.
-
To run your account, confirm your email, and reset your password.
-
To track your visits toward a free session, plus store credit, membership and discounts.
-
To answer your questions and provide customer service.
-
To send app notifications you have allowed: your free session is ready, and Deals and news if you turned that on. Deals and news is off unless you choose it.
-
To send marketing emails, only if you opted in.
-
To use photos or videos of you in our marketing, only if you said yes.
-
To keep the app and website secure and to fix problems.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that run parts of the service for us, and only what each one needs:
-
Square processes card payments and refunds.
-
Google Workspace sends our emails.
-
Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
-
Expo, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service deliver app notifications to your phone.
-
Vercel hosts our booking system, and Neon hosts our database.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our guests and staff.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
-
Emailed codes and links expire after a short time.
-
Notification tokens are removed when a phone stops accepting our notifications.
-
Sign in details are removed when you delete your account (see below).
-
Booking, payment and waiver records are kept as long as we need them to run the business and to meet legal, tax and insurance requirements, and so staff can see your visit history at the counter.
Your choices
-
Marketing emails: leave the box unticked when booking, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
-
Notifications: turn Booking reminders or Deals and news on or off in the app under Your Shotz, Settings, Notifications, or turn notifications off in your phone's settings.
-
Your details: update your name, email and mobile in the app under Settings, or contact us to see or correct what we have on file.
-
Photo consent: you answer each time you sign a waiver, and you can ask us to change your answer at any time.
Deleting your account
In the app: Your Shotz, Settings, Delete my account.
On the website: sign in, open your account page, and choose Delete my account.
By email: write to info@shotzinteractive.com from the address you booked with.
Deleting your account removes your password, your Google link, your email confirmation and your marketing opt in, deletes any emailed codes and links, and signs you out on every device. Your bookings, payments and signed waivers stay on file as business records, and you can make a new account later with the same email.
To ask us to remove more, such as your contact details, email us. We will remove everything we are not required to keep for legal, tax, accounting or insurance reasons, and tell you what we kept and why. We aim to reply within 30 days.
Children
The app and online booking are meant for adults. Many of our guests are children, but their visits are booked by a parent or other adult, and a parent or guardian must sign the waiver for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Information travels between the app, our website and our server over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords and sign in keys are stored only in scrambled form, and the app keeps its sign in key in your phone's secure storage. No system is perfect, so please use a password you do not use anywhere else.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
